With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leona Talachy in Espanola, New Mexico, who passed away on October 10, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Felix Rabanal and Edna Randal Rabanal; her husband Faustin "Louie" Talachy; her son Adam Talachy; and her siblings, Lloyd, Leonard Rabanal and Glenora Rabanal.
She is survived by: her children, Stacey Talachy and Monica Montoya (Nicodemus); her grandchildren, Jovan Spencer, Mekelis Talachy, Kordero Talachy, Taneshia and Karen Talachy; her siblings, Larry Rabanal (Jill) and Mary Lou Owen (Jack); and her great grandchildren, Aiden, Kika, Cyrus, Kailea, River and DJ.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rivera Funeral Home (305 Cll Salazar, Española, NM 87532). A rosary will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Parish (908 W Calle Rosario, Española, NM 87532). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
