He is survived by: his children, Patrick Chavez, Steven Chavez (Erica) and Theresa (Tomas); his grandchildren, Kenneth, Marissa (Sam), Jeremiah, Dillon, Amanda, Mario, Ramon Ojeda and Yasmin Chavez; his great grandchild Marie; his brothers, George (Sandy) and David (Dolores); the mothers of children, Karen Martinez and Connie Talamantes; and his close friends, Rogelio, Luis and Nuna Margaret.
A rosary will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe (205 Don Fernando St, Taos, NM 87571). A Mass will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Santa Fe National Cemetery (501 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, NM 87501).
