He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan C. Chavez and Rafaelita Sanchez Chavez; his wife Vitalina Z. Chavez; and his daughter Geneva. He is survived by: his great grandchild Valeriana Vitalina (Vitalina); and his children, Francine Chavez, Patrick Zamora (Gwen Zamora), Florencio Zamora, George Chavez and Andrew Chavez. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
