He was predeceased by: his parents, Cora Ellen Clingenpeel Pickerel (Martha Zoe South) and Alec Stockton Pickerel. He is survived by: his wife Martha Zoe South Pickerel; his children, Tim Pickerel (Kathy Harper Pickerel) of Slaton, TX, Larry Pickerel (Norma Velasquez Pickerel) of Midland, Texas, Terry Pickerel of Eunice, NM and Amy Pickerel Montanez (Michael Montanez) of Eunice, NM; his grandchildren, Micah Pickerel Hain (Richard Hain) and Jason Pickerel (Lindsay Waddingham Pickerel); and his sister Margaret Jane Pickerel Butler of Lubbock, TX. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Monterey Baptist Church (3601 50th St, Lubbock, TX 79413).
