She was predeceased by : her parents, Ralph Johnson and Mildred Johnson (Moore); her husband James William Mainard Sr. "Jim"; her son James William Jr. "Jamey"; and her brother Ralph Johnson Jr. Betty.

She is survived by : her daughters, Janis Ford (Bob Ford) and Beverly Sharp (Rick Sharp); her grandchildren, Kara Thurston, Becky Ramer, Elyse Dye, Mathew Dye (Casey Dye), Reagan Ford (Sabrina Melendez) and Bryan Sharp (Maddie Sharp); and her great grandchildren, Bella, Zoe, Ivee Thurston, Deegan, Kambria Reid, Ruby, Matea, Evelyn Dye and Asher Sharp.

Donations in Betty's honor may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the American Cancer Society, two causes Betty strongly supported.
