As Ilene departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Ilene may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Ilene leaves behind.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Miller and Mildred Miller (Crittenden); her husband Richard Backus (Dick) of Farmington, NM; and her siblings, Ione Mae Slavin (Miller) of Aztec, NM and Glenn Mark Miller of Wheatridge, CO..

She is survived by: her brother Carl Marion Miller.
