We announce the death of Ronald Larry Blackford (Farmington, New Mexico), born in San Antonio, New Mexico, who passed away on August 31, 2026, at the age of 89. Ronald will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Haskel Blackford and Ellen Mary Stowe. He is survived by: his wife Mary Basgal; his children, Terry Ostler (Layne), Bret Blackford (Rosa) and Pam Voge; his siblings, Richard Blackford (Donna) and Sissy; his sister-in-law Jeannie Hansen; his grandsons, Layne Ostler Jr., Eric Ostler (Stephany), Chance McKee, Ayden Voge and Wyatt Voge; and his great grandchildren, Brett Ostler, Erika Ostler, Callie Jo Ostler, Lacey Ostler, Millie Ostler and Presley Ostler. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Ron's honor to the San Juan Shrine Club in Farmington, New Mexico, or York Rite.
