It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Susan Gail Stafford of Flora Vista, New Mexico, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 29, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Lt. Cmdr; her son Curt R. Stafford; and her brothers, Ric and Art Holzhaeuser. She is survived by: her husband Curt Stafford; her daughter Laurel Peterson; her grandchildren, Timothy Rysanek, Brandon Stafford and Lauren Rysanek; her stepdaughter Shannon Farrell; her great grandchild Elder Dean Stafford; and her sisters, Karen Sweitzer, Candace Gayheart and Kathryn Holzhaeuser.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Cope Memorial Chapel - Aztec (405 S Main St, Aztec, NM 87410). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
