He is survived by: his daughters, Annette Esparza and Sandy Esparza; his grandchildren, Lyle Joseph Griffith (Scott Walker) and Nicole Esparza Gonzales (Antonio Gonzlaes); his great grandchild Aria Jean Gonzales; and his siblings, Cecilia Esparza Sandoval, Tony (Ida Esparza), Nieves (Lydia Esparza), Andrew (Lenore Esparza), Severa (Solamon Diaz), John (Marina Esparza), Jennie (Tom Placencio), Lena (Lawrence Talamante), Mary (Phillip Chavez) and Genevieve (Richard Saucedo).
