Victoriano Campos Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Victoriano Campos (Albuquerque, New Mexico), born in Gallup, New Mexico, who passed away on June 22, 2020, at the age of 91. Victor as many knew him, learned the trade of plumbing and later opened and ran his own business for many years. He enjoyed playing horseshoes, Old Timers baseball, hunting and fishing with his family and Compadres.

Victor was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mercedes Campos, a daughter and a grandson.

Survivors include 3 daughters, 6 grandchildren, many great, and great-great grandchildren, several bothers and sisters, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Victoriano was laid to rest July 1, 2020, at Hilcrest Cemetery in Gallup NM.

Sasha Angel wrote a sympathy message

“I am a relative of Victor, and also almost like a son. I loved him very much, and I remember fondly a gift he gave me when I was a child for my birthday. I will never forget that moment, and the times we shared with his wife in their home in Gallup, NM years ago. I was very grief-stricken, and felt badly that I did not get him out of the rest home in time and take him to Corona, CA to be with is siblings. I should have saved him from Covid, and I did not. I am very hurt by my incompetence”
