Carol Jean Saunders Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carol Jean Saunders (Grants, New Mexico), born in Gallup, New Mexico, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 10, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid adieu to Carol's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Carol has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her daughters, Denise Cionelo and Charlene Reaux; her stepson Jimmy Saunders (Liz Saunders); and her husband Billy Saunders. She was also cherished by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Additionally, her contributions to Little House of Quilts and Carol's Bookkeeping, along with her efforts in Quilts of Valor and the Top of the World Water Association, illustrated a life devoted to service and creativity.
