With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marcia Lynn Failes in Grants, New Mexico, born in Wichita, Kansas, who passed away on November 28, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Puttroff and Ruth Puttroff. She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Failes; her children, Patty Kindred (Mike) of Waynesville, Missouri, David Failes (Gayla) of Cherokee, Oklahoma, Jennifer Byrd (Brent) of Enid, Oklahoma and Vicki Harmon (Dusty) of Cherokee, Oklahoma.; her sister Susan Hogan (Mike) of Deer Park, Texas.; and her grandchildren, Greg Failes, Kelsey Byrd, Blake Failes, Cole Harmon, Grant Kindred, Kaden Harmon, Brant Failes, Alyssa Link, Alex Harmon and Breck Failes.
A funeral service was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Driftwood Christian Church (32516 OK-8, Cherokee, OK 73728). A burial was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Cherokee Municipal Cemetery (62499 Grant Rd, Cherokee, OK 73728).
Memorials may be made out to the Cherokee Education Foundation or Driftwood Christian Church Youth Program through Lanman Funeral Home.
