With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sammy Jim (Grants, New Mexico), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 13, 2025 at the age of 81. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Sammy may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his brother Harry Jim Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Rosita Jim; and his children, Dewayne LaMotte, Fabian LaMotte, Renita Largo and Lawrence LaMotte.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Compassion Mortuary (120 3rd St, Grants, NM 87020). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Grants Memorial Park Cemetery (500 W Roosevelt Ave, Grants, NM 87020).
