He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernie Brown and Elnor Brown (Faye Brown); his son Jimmy Vance; and his siblings, Cleo Brown and Genelle Beaty.
He is survived by: his children, Jerald Vance (Maud) of Roswell, Kelly Brown (Kim) of Hobbs, Telisha Watson of Hobbs and David Brown of Albuquerque; his grandchildren, Kami Bryant, Jessica Ort, Matt Brown, Rebecca Price, Praxi Brown, Tristyn Brown, Eli Brown, James Vance and Kaira Vance; his great grandchildren, Lukas, Alexis Ort, Charlotte, Bodie, Mabel Brown (Caleb) and Ryder Price; and his brother Gene Brown.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Chapel of Hope Funerals & Cremations (3321 N Dal Paso St, Hobbs, NM 88240). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 11:15 AM to 12:15 PM at the Prairie Haven Memorial Park Cemetery (2201 E Stanolind Rd, Hobbs, NM 88240).
