He was predeceased by: his former wife Carolyn Bright. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Fitzgerald Russel; his stepmother Hazel Russell; and his children, Ricky W. Russell (Connie) and Sandra Fox. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and a few great, great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home (1106 N Main St, Lovington, NM 88260). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Fellowship of Believers Church (5609 N Grimes St, Hobbs, NM 88242).
