He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Richard C. Cortez and Irma R. Cortez; his siblings, Michael Joe Hill, Ray R. Cortez and Kelly Milioti; his children, Elise Nicole Cortez, Lay'ne Rash, Felicity Duran and Robert Charles Cortez; and his grandchildren, Sarah Alvarez, A'mylie Garcia, Raye Sosa and Nickolas Cortez.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 5th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:15 PM at the Chapel of Hope Funeral Home (3321 N Dal Paso St, Hobbs, NM 88240). The inurnment will be held on Friday, June 5th 2026 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Prairie Haven Memorial Park Cemetery (2201 E Stanolind Rd, Hobbs, NM 88240). A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 5th 2026 at the Prairie Haven Cemetery (2201 E Stanolind Rd, Hobbs, NM 88240).
