He was predeceased by: his parents, Audie Thompson (Cruse) and Robert Collins Thompson Sr.; and his siblings, Betty Peabody and James Wade Sanders. He is survived by: his siblings, Lyndia Pyeatt (Alan), Gloria Thompson, Ethel Smith, Wanda Duncan (Jack), Mary Sanders, Jerry Sanders and Huey Thompson (Josie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Prairie Haven Memorial Park Cemetery (2201 E Stanolind Rd, Hobbs, NM 88240).
