It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sergio Hugo DeLeon Sr. (Hobbs, New Mexico), who passed away on September 17, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernando De Leon and Enriqueta Espinoza De Leon; his wife Janie DeLeon; and his daughters, Michelle DeLeon and Cynthia DeLeon.
He is survived by: his children, Jessica DeLeon (Mark Garcia), Maylene DeLeon, Sergio DeLeon (Nancy Rivera), Anthony DeLeon, Rosa Franco, Joe Franco, Manuel Franco, Felix Franco and John Franco. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Griffin Funeral Home (401 N Dalmont St, Hobbs, NM 88240). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
