It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jack Shreffler (Jal, New Mexico), who passed away on July 19, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Shreffler and Zina Shreffler; his grandfather John Boyer; his siblings, Ethel Shreffler Shorts, Vergil Shreffler, Grace Shreffler Latchaw, Robert Shreffler (Bob), Gerald Shreffler, Ronald Shreffler, Gene Shreffler and Ada Mae Shreffler Mason; his niece Helen Rebecca Jordan; and his children, Carla Denise and John Alroy.
He is survived by: his siblings, Jackie and John Jackie Boyer Shreffler; his wife Ruthie Morrison; his daughters, Cindy Shreffler Davis (Tom Davis) of Andrews and Christy Shreffler Brininstool (Carl Brininstool) of Midland; his grandchildren, Ginger Brininstool Pollock (Steve Pollock), Carly Davis Kahl, Craig Davis (Kym Davis), Paula Brininstool Plumlee, Cara Brininstool and Christopher Davis (Katie Davis); and his great grandchildren, Kyle Kahl, J. T. Davis, James Kahl, Justin Pollock, Luke Plumlee, Emily Plumlee, Maggie Davis, Megan Pollock and Carter Davis.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (323 S Alameda St, Jal, NM 88252). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at the Kermit Cemetery.
