Alta June McCarrell-Hastie Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alta June McCarrell-Hastie of Las Cruces, New Mexico, who passed away on September 27, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Andy Jasper and Reba McCarrell; her siblings, Wilma Jean, Catherine McCarrell and Billy Jack McCarrell; her sons, Terry and Douglas Lynch; and her grandson Michael Nielsen.
She is survived by: her brother Bob McCarrell; her daughters, Lynda McCarrell and Marsha Short; her stepdaughter Kat Hastie-Baker; her son Larry Lynch; and her grandchildren, Kris, Melanie, Erik Nielsen, Randy and Nancy Lynch. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She did not wish to have a memorial service, and in lieu of flowers or similar gifts, she hoped that any donations might be forwarded to that organization to support programs that will continue to serve veterans and their families for years to come.
