With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Amelio Jacques of Las Cruces, New Mexico, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 6, 2025 at the age of 86. He was predeceased by: his parents, Prajedes Jacques and Mercedes Jacques; and his siblings, Prajedes Jr., Tito, Frank, Danny, Steve, Sammy Jacques, Lina Valles, Maria Flores and Minnie Moore.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia; his children, Leo (Diane), Robert of Las Cruces, Yvonne Montoya (Kenneth) and Melissa Andrews (Chris) of Chandler, AZ; his sisters, Estelle Carbajal (Rudy), Lucy Apodaca (Alfred) and Corine McElhaney; his grandchildren, Kristopher Montoya, Audrey, Richard Jacques, Nicholas, Dallas and Brittany Andrews; and his great grandchildren, Kieryn, Dextyn, Lily Andrews and Araylia Garcia. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cedar Hills Church (5550 Stern Dr, Las Cruces, NM 88001). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
