He was predeceased by: his parents, Tony Salopek and Tess Salopek; his brother Mark Salopek; and the mother of his children Georgia. He is survived by: his sons, Anton and Rett Salopek (Samantha); his grandchildren, Shylee, Cayden and Fallon (Carol Tomei); his great grandchildren, Anne Marie Robles and Patrick Jaquess; his siblings, Ben Salopek (Mary), Mary Jane Carson (Robert) and Anne Nelson (Woody); and his sister-in-law Marci Salopek. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and aunts.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those considering flowers instead consider donations to the Phoenix Children's Hospital or the Family Farm Alliance in honor of James.
