With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Catherine Anderson Carr in Las Cruces, New Mexico, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 12, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Catherine Anderson farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Catherine Anderson is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Douglas M. Smith and Agnus "Nancy" Smith; and her boyfriend Edgar Ray Hatcher. She is survived by: her daughter Catherine Rebecca "Becca" Pardo; her son-in-law Felix Pardo; her grandchildren, Scott, Shelby and Dustin Pardo; and her brother Douglas K. Smith.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home and Crematory (2609 S Main St, Roswell, NM 88203).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her honor to Smith Animal Clinic at 1209 S Union (575-623-4100), a place that treated her cherished cats with great care and compassion.
