He is survived by: his wife Maria Melendez; his son Chris Chavez; his grandchildren, Calix and Calysta; his siblings, Jimmy Melendez, Cynthia Galindo, Sally Mendiola and Paul Melendez; and his nieces and nephews, Matthew Melendez, Andrea Mendiola, Celeste Galindo, Hannah, Hayden and Hank Melendez. He is also survived by his grandkids.
