He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Hapgood and Agnes Hapgood (Saunders); his siblings, Alfred, William, Harold, Lyle, Phyllis Hapgood Henningsen, Alice Hapgood Stiefvater and Marilyn Hapgood Allen; and his children, Chris and Allison.
He is survived by: his wife Darla Dee Hapgood (Ogg); his daughters, Barbara Rasco (Billy) and RoiLynn Campbell (Carter); his children-in-law, Martha and Mike; and his grandchildren, Christopher, Meghan, Amber, Sean, Courtney, Andrew, Analisa, Jackson, Ryan and Charles. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, November 10th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church (1800 S Locust St, Las Cruces, NM 88001).
