Dorothy Lopez Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dorothy Lopez in Las Cruces, New Mexico, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 31, 2026 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Juan Gallegos and Amada Cruz; her husband John B. Lopez of Lobatos, CO.; and her siblings, Armando, Maria Jesusita-Gallega Govea (Vicente), Gilberto, Hilarino, Genaro, Carlos and Leonard Gallegos.
She is survived by: her children, Dorothy A. Medina (Rudy), Amadita Patsy Valdez (Daniel), Johnny Lopez, Melvin Lopez and Karl Lopez (Michelle); her grandchildren, Albert R. Medina, Amanda Sicre, Daniel J. Valdez, Karl J. Lopez (Ryan) and Joseph Lopez; her great grandchildren, Colbert Valdez (Alessandra), Iziah Sicre (Brianna), Amadita Sicre, Hailey Valdez and Kaitlyn Valdez; her great great grandchildren, Ivy Valdez, Colbert M. Valdez (CJ), Isiah Horn, Sadie Horn and Vida Ortiz; and her in-laws, Alonzo Lopez of Manassa, CO, Juanita-Jane Cisneros (Tomas) of Thornton, CO., Sarah Robart, Mike Lopez, Paul Lopez (Maria) and Gene Lopez. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren and friends.
