He was predeceased by: his sisters, Rosa Emma, Manuela and Paula Ruiz. He is survived by: his wife Adela; his children, Rosa Ruiz (Fernando), Ramona Perez (Alfredo), Veronica Beltran (Carlos), Lydia Ruiz (Socorro), Adelina Holguin (Oscar), Delfina Chavez (Manuel), Adriana Mendoza (Wences) and Jorge Ruiz (Angelica); his grandson Javier Ruiz (Olivia); and his brothers, Ramon, Francisco "Pancho", Refugio "Cuco" and Librado "Tunio" Ruiz. He is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren.
