He was predeceased by: his father Henry Acosta Sr.; his brothers, U. S. Marine (Henry Acosta Jr.) and Danny Acosta; his grandparents, Atenojenes, Juanita Acosta of Four Points and Gregoria Candelas of Mesilla; and his granddaughter Amanda.
He is survived by: his mother Josie Acosta; his siblings, Larry (Beatrice), Minerva, Cathy (Gary) and Linda; his sisters-in-law, Dora and Elizabeth; his niece Christina; his nephew Bobby; and his brother Henry. He is also survived by five grand children, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
