He is survived by: his mother Antonia Angel (Patsy Angel); his aunt Lucy Venegas (Armando); his wife Kimberly Mata; his children, Nannette Mata, Lucia Mata, Jaime Mata Jr., Jennifer Mata and Johnny Angel Mata; his granddaughter Khloe Mata; his siblings, Victor Mata (Ana), Ramona Espinoza (Lupe), Lorenzo Mata (Erica), Jesus Angel (Lisa) and Juanita Angel; his cousins, Rosario Garcia (Lupe), Angelica Hernandez (Antonio), Maria Angel, Reyna Angel (Fernando), Juanita Gonzales and Johnny Angel (Jeanette); his stepchildren, Ariana Garcia, Mercedes and Alexandra Espinoza; and his stepgrandchildren, Serenity, Alijah Escalera, Azariah Garcia, Malachi Bustillos, Angel, Mia, Jacobe Kelly, Messiah Sanchez, Harmony, Journii Espinoza and Aziel Delgado.
Viewing will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Getz Funeral Home (1410 E Bowman Ave, Las Cruces, NM 88001). A prayer will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
