It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Edward Koons (Las Cruces, New Mexico), born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, who passed away on December 13, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his mother Dorothy Mildred Koons (Dolen); his grandparents, Harry, Pearl Dolen, Joseph and Nellie Koons; his father Harold Franklin Koons; and his brother Harry Franklin Koons.
He is survived by : his wife Jane Logan Koons of Las Cruces, NM; his sons, Vance Patrick Koons (Chris) and Brian Scot Koons (Kelli); his granddaughter Nicole Rianna Koons of Krugerville, TX; his sons, Brice Logan Koons (Layni Thompson) of Shawnee, OK, Mason Edward Koons of Boise, ID and Kaitlin Noel Koons of Shawnee, OK; his brother Raymond Eugene Koons of Bullard, TX; his sister-in-law Sondra Koons (late Harry Franklin Koons); and also, Linda Lou Logan of Tulsa, OK and Kathryn Anne Evanson (Michael) of Tulsa, OK. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and their children.
