He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruben Florez and Faye Chavira; and his siblings, Arturo Florez, Eloy Florez and Aurelia Lozoya.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Fajardo; his sons, Mark Florez, Alvaro Florez and Matthew Fajardo; his daughter-in-law Christy Florez; his grandchildren, Jacqueline Florez and Alvaro Florez; and his sisters, Sulema Ybarra and Elvia Rodriguez. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Getz Funeral Home (1410 E Bowman Ave, Las Cruces, NM 88001). A rosary will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the St. Genevieve's Catholic Church (100 S Espina St, Las Cruces, NM 88001).
