Lois M. Calvert Obituary

We announce the death of Lois M. Calvert in Las Cruces, New Mexico, born in Rockford, Illinois, who passed away on October 2, 2026, at the age of 86. Lois will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Lois will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Lois will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Lois’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Wallace Calvert and Clara Calvert; and her brother John Calvert. She is survived by: her sister Anne Morgan (Arthur) of Las Cruces; her sister-in-law Josane Calvert of Charlotte; her nieces, Nicole Lowe (Michael) of Mt. Pleasant and Christine Hunt (Matthew) of Seattle, Washington.; her great-nephew Jameson Parker "JP" Lowe; and her great-nieces, Kayden Lowe of Mt. Pleasant, Clara and Lillian Hunt of Seattle.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Denver Habitat for Humanity or the Denver Public Library, two places close to her heart.
