We are sad to announce that, on October 10, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Louis Sadler (Las Cruces, New Mexico). You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Bill B. Sadler and Katie Mae Sadler; his wife Betty Sadler; his children, Lesley Ann Sadler and Will Sadler; and his grandchildren, Zachary Soules and Jocelyn Soules.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the NMSU Department of History. Donations may be made online to the NMSU Foundation.

“I had Dr. Sadler for American Military History. Dr. Sadler was a true southern gentleman, with impeccable manners, and showed a great respect for his students, and that feeling was strongly reciprocated. He was an excellent lecturer, making the wars come to life for his class. I learned so much from him, and really wanted to make him proud of me when it came to exams. He taught me how powerful respect is, and he taught me to be punctual. He will be missed by many.”
