He was predeceased by: his parents, Serafin "Fito" (Maria Angel Gloria Sapien) and Canutillo; and his godson Adrian Angel Medina. He is survived by: his sister Sylvia Sapien; his nephew Gabriel Sapien; and his great-niece Isabella Medina-Vogt (El Paso).
