He was predeceased by: his parents, Alejandra Fierro and Pedro Alvarado; his grandson Kahlil Jackson; his siblings, Pedro Alvarado and Manuela Alvarado; his niece Leilani Alvarado; his nephew Isaiah Granados; and his cousin Ralph "Rafita" Mesa.
He is survived by: his children, Dwan Alvarado (Gilbert Rodriguez) of Las Cruces and Aaron Arias (Alejandro Tovar) of Las Cruces; and his siblings, Roberto Alvarado (Reyes) of San Miguel, Vicky Gamboa of Las Cruces and Maria Robles (Pablo) of Las Cruces. He is also survived by six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
