As Merilyn departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Merilyn. Though Merilyn may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Anderson and Willie Mae Anderson; and her brother Gregory L. Anderson. She is survived by: her siblings, Vinson Anderson of Las Cruces and Audrey Anderson of Gretna. She is also survived by 7 nieces and nephews; 11 grand-nieces and nephews; 10 great-grand-nieces and nephews, along with a host of cousins, extended family and dear friends.
In 2020, after pandemic restrictions were lifted, Merilyn relocated to Las Cruces, New Mexico, with her brother Vinson Anderson, where she continued to live a life centered in faith, family, and service.
