He is survived by: his wife Valerie Stevens; his children, James Stevens and Jennifer Spaulding (Brandon); his grandchildren, Connor Stevens (Katy), Brex Stevens, Ryan Spaulding and Emily Markos (Alex); and his sister Nonie Cawthon. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Preston was a 32° Scottish Rite Mason, the family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Scottish Rite for Children Hospital in Dallas, TX.
