He was predeceased by: his parents, Murt Charles Ray and Norma Jean Ray (Killion); and his siblings, Cindy Ray and Lee Ray. He is survived by: his wife Wanda; his sister Sharlyn Miller of Little Rock, AR; his son Ralph Ray Jr. of Milford, KS; and his stepchildren, Jason Schrag of Las Cruces, NM, Jessica Schrag of Shawnee, OK, Naomi Schrag of Las Cruces, NM and Nicholaus Schrag of McPherson, KS. He is also survived by 10 step grandchildren and 2 step great-grandchildren.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, May 30th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Getz Funeral Home (1410 E Bowman Ave, Las Cruces, NM 88001). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 30th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, June 1st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Ft. Bliss National Cemetery (5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, TX 79904).
