He is survived by: his wife Frances Quintero; his sons, Ramiro Gamboa Jr. (Melinda) of Las Cruces and Joshua Gamboa of Las Cruces; and his siblings, Victor Gamboa (Julia) of Albuquerque, Esther Gamboa of Las Cruces and Patsy Corral (Arturo) of Las Cruces. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
