He was predeceased by: his parents, David Thomas and Ruth Thomas (Ingole); his son Lawrence "Dee" Thomas; his brother Pat Thomas; and his parents-in-law, Ernest and Pita Apodaca.
He is survived by: his wife Kay Thomas; his siblings, David Thomas (Remona), RuthAnn Payne (William) and Ronnie Thomas; his brothers-in-law, Mariano Apodaca (Mickey) and Francisco Apodaca (Margaret); his children, Randy Thomas (Susan), Candy Thomas, Ernie Thomas (Wanda) and Angelique Peterson (Sherman); his grandchildren, Tiffany (Victor), Gwenyth, Bevan, DJ (Angel), Brianna, Tory, Delfin, Shelby and Iris; and his great grandchildren, Abygail (Santiago), Troy, Kaleb, Donald, Jacob, Felix, Sophia, Sienna and Claire. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, lifelong friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Kiva Chapel of Light (417 Rodeo Rd, Santa Fe, NM 87505).
