She is survived by: her children, Joseph Chavez, Patricia Roybal, Eva Chavez and Melinda Saiz; her grandchildren, Edward Roybal Jr. and Audrey Roybal; her great grandchildren, Apolonia Roybal, Aliana Saiz and Ravay Padilla; her siblings, Maria Coca and Louie Benavidez (Barbara); her niece Rose DeHerrera; her nephew Robert Aragon; and her close friends, Viola Herrera and Rosemary Padilla.
