Dorothy Knezevich Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dorothy Knezevich of Las Vegas, New Mexico, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 30, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Dorothy is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Dorothy's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parent Toribio Encinias Sr. (Virginia Sanchez); her brother Toribio Encinias Jr.; and her mother Virginia Sanchez Encinias. She is survived by: her husband Howard Knezevich; her children, Elizabeth Wheeldon (Peter) of London, England, Howard Knezevich (Anne) of Rio Rancho, NM, Jacob Knezevich (Angeli) of Las Vegas, Eric Knezevich of Las Vegas and Cheves White of Las Vegas; and her siblings, Sally Bicente of California and Fred Encinias (Patsy) of Montezuma, NM. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 13 grandchildren and 2 Great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Our Lady of Sorrows Church (403 Valencia St, Las Vegas, NM 87701). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Maria de Jose Cemetery.
