He is survived by: his parents, Juan Ortega and Anabella Ortega; his children, Desiree Ortega (Lorenzo Sanchez), Gavriella Ortega and Christopher Ortega; his siblings, Brenda Ortega (Lorenzo Jaramillo), Sandra Ortega (Jeff Brown), Renee Rubalcaba (Joe Rubalcaba) and Lawrence "Larz" Garduño; his godchildren, Daniela Montoya, Caleb Rubalcaba, Luke Garduño and Pablo Aguilar; his cousin Jerome Garcia; and his close friend Lawrence "Larz" Garduño (Diego Ortiz). He is also survived by many nephews & nieces, great nephews & nieces, aunts & uncles, cousins, and many other loving family members & friends.
A prayer will be held on Sunday, November 8th 2026 at 11:30 AM. A rosary will be held on Monday, November 9th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Our Lady of Sorrows Church (403 Valencia St, Las Vegas, NM 87701). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 10th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church (403 Valencia St, Las Vegas, NM 87701).
