He is survived by: his wife Valerie; his children, John Gillespie Jr. and Jamie Gillespie (Eric Larson); his grandchildren, Hailey Larson, Landon Larson, Noah Larson and Elijah Larson; his parents, Walter Gillespie and Mary Gillespie; his brothers, Chris Gillespie (Rebeca), Carl Gillespie (Carla) and Kurt Gillespie (Kimberly); his father-in-law Cayetano Gurule; his brothers-in-law, Mike Gurule (Jaimie) and Chris Gurule; his brother Ronald Shane (Diane); and his nieces and nephews, Cayetano Gurule, Alejandrea Gurule, Abigail Gurule, Liam Gurule, Junior Joe, Lilly Joe, Mary, David Gillespie, Curtis Gillespie and Aiden Gillespie. He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.
A rosary will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at 811 6th St, Las Vegas, NM 87701. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
