Levi Jasper Varela "Smiley", 35 of Las Vegas, New Mexico passed away suddenly on January 19, 2022 at UNM hospital from medical complications.

Levi was born on January 19th 1987 in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Levi was a loving fiancé, brother, father, grandfather and son who always helped others in need whenever possible. Levi enjoyed spending all his time with his grandchildren, friends, family but most of all his fiancé.

Levi is preceded in death by his father: Leroy Varela; grandmother: Florida Flores; grandmother: Esther Varela; grandfather: Eloy Varela; grandfather: Desiderio Flores; great grandmother: Sophia Villas.

Levi is survived by his fiancé: Cheryl Poisson of Las Vegas, NM; mother: Loriann Varela (Beau McCullough of San Jose, NM; brother: Isaac Varela-Garcia (Crystal Romero) of Las Vegas, NM; sons: Jeremy Leyba of Glorieta, NM, Cruzito Varela and Malaky Varela; step-daughters: Skylar Poisson (Joaquin Richardson) and Savannah Rubio; grandchildren: Evangelista and Cataleya Poisson and Jeremiah Gonzales; niece and nephew: Trinity Flores and Christopher Garcia; numerous: loving close friends and many other family members.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
