As we bid Lucy farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Lucy is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her husband Manuel Otero; her son David Griego; and her parents, Carlos Sanchez and Agripina Sanchez. She is survived by: her children, Doris Montoya (Max) of Las Vegas, Michael Griego (Elizabeth) of Eugene, Paul Richard Griego of Las Vegas, Cathie Havlina (John) of Tacoma, Joyce Griego of Las Vegas and Chrissie Vigil. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren and 13 great, great, grandchildren.
A rosary will be held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Our Lady of Sorrows Church (403 Valencia St, Las Vegas, NM 87701). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Santa Fe National Cemetery (501 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, NM 87501).
