He is survived by: his children, Sondra Thomas of Logan, NM. and Rick Whitehead (Jane) of Wedowee, Alabama; his granddaughters, Jessica Dalton (John), Emily Whitehead and Sarah Whitehead; his cousins, Mike Watts (Judy) of Hereford, Billy Russell Watts of Hereford, Wendel Wilson of Dawn and Marty Higgins of Amarillo; and his stepbrother Jabe Wills (Cathy) of Prescott, Arizona..

His love of coffee, crossword puzzles and an extra cookie or piece of cake were punctuated by his wonderful smile and the glint in his eye. I looked forward to seeing him each day and telling him he was my adopted grandfather. He always had a hug for me and I williss them. Thank you for letting me be a small part of your life. You will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved you. Rest in peace sweetie.”
