He was predeceased by: his parents, Patricio Sanchez and Odelia Sanchez; his daughter Annette Gabaldon; his grandson Ryan Gonzales; and his grandmother Matilda Sanchez.

He is survived by: his wife Rosalie Roybal Sanchez; his children, Gilbert, Eddie, Paul Sanchez (Yvette), Sharon Apodaca and Jennifer Garcia (Arthur); and his brothers, Bob (Sandra) and Jim Sanchez (Denise). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
