He was predeceased by: his parents, Eudoro Chavez and Adelina Chavez; his siblings, Frank Chavez, Clovis Chavez, Juan Chavez, Henry Chavez, Johnny Chavez, Rebecca Martinez, Fedelina Florez and Candy Gonzalez; and his niece Ultima Padilla (Fabian Padilla).
He is survived by: his sisters, Maria A. Chavez and Anita L. Baca. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.
