He is survived by: his wife Barbara Atencio; his children, Steven Atencio Jr. (Amber), Luis Atencio (Miranda), Michael Sean Atencio and Rosario Jaramillo; his grandchildren, Manual Atencio, Michael Sean Atencio Jr. and Mateo Atencio; and his siblings, Gillis Garcia, Maryanne Garcia, Charlie Garcia, Terry Garcia, Loretta Coughenour, Olivia Martinez and Char Wilson.
A rosary will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the San Jose Catholic Church (101 Main St, Los Ojos, NM 87551). A Mass will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
